CPD and the Health Professions Council Events

The Centre for CPD for Allied Health Professions (Beeches Management Centre) linked with the Health Professions Council in November 2009 to provide information to registrants on requirements for maintaining CPD Portfolios.

 


The information events took place in three venues across Northern Ireland (Belfast, Craigavon and Derry) over 6 half days.  Over 400 HPC Registered Professionals from all sectors in Northern Ireland attended.

 

Mark Potter, CPD Communications Manager, HPC, provided the presentations at each of the six half day events.


The purpose of the event was to clarify any issues regarding the Health Professions Council Audits, which began in May 2008 and will continue for all those registered with the Health Professions Council.


The sessions concentrated on CPD and the requirements for registrants to maintain their CPD portfolios.  It outlined the support mechanisms available to members and provided tips for the preparation of portfolios.
